Xochimilco Room
Shuttered double doors of this room open onto the central terrace offering convenient access to a comfortable outdoor seating area. Furnished with one double bed with handcrafted headboard and one twin bed.
Library Room
This quiet room once served as a library for summer camp students and features a dramatic wall mural by Leon Sciaky, a Greek-born artist and former owner of the house. A stained glass window splashes the room with light. Furnished with one queen bed.
Studio Room
Large windows spread across two walls of this bright, airy room, built by Jim Bassler as a weaving studio during Casa Panchita’s years as a summer study site. Extraordinary pieces of folk art line the walls and fill a tiered display case. Located at the back of the garden, the Studio contains one king bed and one twin bed.
Sol y Luna Room
Light and bright, this room features a colorful floor of red and blue terra cotta tiles, and windows onto a small garden that holds Veralee Bassler’s ceramic sculpture of Panchita’s blue apron.
Morning sun warms the patio in front of this room. Sleeps two persons in twin beds that can be combined into a king bed upon request
Franny’s Room
Named for a former owner of the house, Franny Sciaky, this spacious room on the central terrace features a charming corner fireplace, now used to display classic ceramic figures by the renowned Aguilar family. Contains a king bed and an alcove with a single bed, providing space for two or three persons.
Adjacent to Franny’s Room and the Xochimilco Room is a small, interior sitting room with an excellent collection of books of Oaxacan culture. These three rooms may be combined as a family suite.
Garden Room
With a patio overlooking the central gardens, this spacious room invites restful hours of reading or bird watching. A corner fireplace displays folk art from the area. With one king bed and one twin bed, the room accommodates two or three guests.
